Kundun

Writer's picture: FilmKnightFilmKnight

Just finished Martin Scorsese's Kundun. Too soon for a ful review but It was an interesting film which really got going for me when the main character comes of age. It reminded me very much of Bernard Bertolucci's The last Emperor. I am a big Marty fan and had read about this as forming something of a loose trilogy of religious exploration from Scorsese, along with the very good Last Temptation of Christ and the sublime Silence. This won't be going to the top of my Scorsese list (that's for another day) but I'm glad I did it.
